Commitments

The other half and I went to the O2 Arena in London for a concert last night.  The Stars from The Commitments (TSFTC) on St Patrick's Day.  Enough said.

 We had a great time made better by the Sky Backstage package for the O2.  It meant we didn't have to queue to get in.  Instead, we were treated to a free photo on the red carpet, I had my makeup touched up and there was a chance for a complementary massage too although we didn't take it up.  We had a few drinks and dinner behind the stage and then wandered to our seats in time for the supporting act.

Rainy Boy Sleep gave a brilliant warm up set and once he'd left the stage, the other half and I went on the hunt for a standing section pass.  A bit of running later, we got one each from the friendly staff at the information stand (thanks guys).  So rather than sitting at the back of the O2, we were dancing about to the main act much closer to the stage which we both thoroughly enjoyed.

The atmosphere was fantastic and congenial.  The set performed by TSFTC was also first-rate with a good mix of upbeat tracks as well as slower, more intimate songs.

We also managed to watch the whole set and easily get back for the last train home.  The only issue was my camera deciding to delete my photos from the first part of the night. Boo!  A good night overall though.
